Little Blue Heron, Fort De Soto Park_93E6830
The little blue heron is a small heron. It is about two feet tall with a wingspan of about 40 inches. It has slate-blue feathers with a maroon neck and head. Its bill is gray with a black tip, and it has gray to blue legs and feet. Males and females look alike.

So gracious in their flight and landing.

Smooth sailing in Fort De Soto Park_93E6678
I got carried away this time and got a real kick out of this. We all have heard and enjoyed of the “Flight of the Condor”, so I felt like we can also do the same for the Egret, flying so gracefully.
I followed this one’s take off till the landing with High Speed Continuous shooting mode with f 5.0, ISO 250 and 1/4000 Sec. A bit overwhelm by the number of shots. I hope you enjoy the view.
Two Great Egrets, Fort De Soto, Fl._93E6663

Great Egret, Fort De Soto_93E6650
Not necessarily a migrating species, the egret can be seen almost in every water hole, and many photos have been previously posted by me, but I could not resit capturing that elegant pose.
