Bio: I have always been interested in photography. It is an interesting hobby for me and one that I take very seriously. I use my camera often and sometimes on different projects in order to capture THE shot that I can be proud of. I recently went on a photo tour in Costa Rica and what a trip? I was exposed to over a hundred species of birds and other floras and faunas. A place that every serious photographer should have in their bucket list to visit. At what level of photography are you, one may asks? I consider myself more of an intermediate photographer for having learned many different tools and mechanisms geared to improve my skills. I am on the board of the local Camera Club (PWCC) as the Treasurer. I have won many awards/ribbons from our monthly photos competition. In addition, my pictures have appeared in the renowned PSA magazine, and exhibitions from Nature Center and other local Public Libraries. I enjoy traveling which offers great opportunities to take wonderful pictures from different categories. However my primary interest is Nature and Macro Photography. What's in my bag? I own Canon 7D Camera with an array of lenses from Wide Angle, Macro, Zoom and Telephotos up to a EF 400mm f/5.6. I carry a Feisol Tripod Carbon Fiber with a Really Right Stuff Ballhead, with other accessories such as Flash, cable release, Extenders, filters, extension tubes etc. In the future, I hope to acquire a Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens with a Gimbal head and a second Full Frame Canon 5D Mark III. Another hobby of mine is Music. I listen to a variety of genres, but tend to favor Jazz in general. I also play the Saxophone, with the Alto my main choice and the Tenor second. Both my instruments are from Yamaha. My love of Nature motivates me to appreciate the beauty of things that surrounds us, which also contributed to a strong interest in Orchids growing, (inherited from my wife,) another big challenge that I embrace. It is not an easy task, but one that I enjoy tremendously as well. All of my hobbies share a common link: total joy and happiness.
I also enjoy photography, like so many others out there. What’s in my bag, you might wonder? I shoot a Pentax K10D DSLR, a Nikon D7000, and a Nikon P600. I have a number of various Lens’s, and Filters, Remote Shutter Release, a Tripod and Monopod. I just purchased the Nikon D7000 DSLR and am getting to know how to use this outstanding camera. Regards ~ Les

Hi Alix, quick question, did you start another wordpress blog? I’ve seen a photo of yours on another blog, wanted to make sure it was you! 🙂 It has same header photo as yours. https://storygraphee.com/

Donna, I know that I had changed the previous page when WordPress asked me for an annual fee. Is that what you are referring to?

Is that website I listed yours also?

Not at all Donna. Thanks for inquiring.

I was referring on whether they ‘stole’ your header image. You and the other blog have the same ‘image header’, which I instantly thought odd. Isn’t the beach scene your photo? Or no? I know there is a few instances I’m aware of that people are using other people’s photos without permission.

Sorry for the delay in replying Donna. I was out shooting and got rain and thunderstorms. What a wasted Saturday!. The image header is free provided by WordPress and I think it’s there for anyone to use. Thank you for the concern,
