She looks so happy to be back, knowing that she will be well fed. That pause is her way to say hello and make her presence known.

This is the time of the year again and I was anxiously waiting for him to appear. I was not disappointed. I heard the chirp of the Hummingbird and i immediately started the nectar prep for him. Those pictures are the first of a series for this season. Enjoy,
Shivering.
Catching the wings.
Always nice to capture birds in flight.
Their breeding habitat is wooded areas including suburban parks and farmland across most of North America. They usually nest in trees, coniferous or deciduous, or sometimes on the ground. These birds forage on the ground or in low bushes, sometimes flying up to catch insects in flight. They mainly eat insects and seeds.
These birds migrate to the southern United States and south to Mexico.
Can’t have enough of this magnificent bird.
A pause before flying away.
Three impressive poses of this female cardinal..
